Treat Dad to a Manicure & Pedicure

Father's Day Gift Idea: Peppermint Collagen Socks

With Father’s Day on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about gifts for the dad in your life. If you’ve never considered treating the dad in your life—be it your own father, the father of your children, or a great friend who’s also a great dad—to a manicure or pedicure, this might be the year! And lucky for you, we’ve put together a little guide to help you do dad’s nails at home. But first ...

A Little Secret about Men and Manicures & Pedicures …

They actually love them! Men may not always readily admit that they love a good manicure and pedicure, but in our experience as nail artists and salon owners, men appreciate a good manicure and pedicure just as much as women! After all, self care is important for men, too.

In today’s blog, we offer the tips you need to treat the men in your life to a relaxing Father’s Day: manicures and pedicures at home!

Pedicures for Men

Go ahead and find a comfortable spot for dad to sit, grab him his favorite beverage and reading material, and tell him to settle in for a treat. Here’s what to do next:

Start with Collagen Socks:

Peppermint Collagen Socks

Have dad put his tired feet into a pair of invigorating, feet-softening Peppermint Collagen Socks. These socks are packed with phyto collagen, peppermint, and herb extracts—so, they’ll both soften and revive feet. This package contains enough individually-wrapped pairs for everyone in the family to regularly enjoy feet-treats at the end of a long day. They’re basically a pre-packaged pedicure!

Use a Pumice Bar to Smooth Feet:

Pumice is a type of rock that forms when lava and water mix together (fun fact!), and it can be used to smooth skin and remove rough, dry skin from the feet and even elbows. The Pumice Stone is a great tool for dads who run regularly and may have callus buildup on their heels or sides of their feet. This is an essential part of any pedicure and could become a regular part of dad’s self care routine.

Treat Stubborn Calluses:

Vite 20 Advanced Callus Treatment

For stubborn calluses that won’t be easily sloughed off with a pumice stone, the Vite 20 Advanced Callus Treatment is an essential product. Urea, it’s active ingredient, will dissolve rough patches, minimizing those tough and sometimes painful calluses.

Manicures for Men

Once you’ve warmed dad up with a pedicure, get him seated at the kitchen table. The manicure is next! Here’s what to do:

Start with the Cuticles:

Orange wood cuticle sticks
Orange wood cuticle sticks are simple tools that make it easy to maintain nails. One end of the stick is angled for pushing back the cuticle, and the other end is pointed for cleaning underneath the nail.

Buff the Nails:

Flash Shiner Block

A Flash Shiner Block is an handy tool for keeping nails groomed and looking healthy. With this three-way block, you can buff, polish, and shine your dad’s nails until they look perfect—a good look for shaking hands and closing deals! Remind dad that he can use the flash shiner block on his own anytime he wants to treat himself to a mini-manicure.

Massage the Cuticles:

cuticle oil

Finish up dad’s manicure by giving his cuticles a little massage with cuticle oil. This oil is perfect for hydrating and repairing the cuticle and keeps nails looking smooth and professional.

That’s it! When you’ve finished dad’s pedicure and manicure, you can gift him all the products you used, so that he can maintain his nails on his own. Way to treat your dad on Father’s Day!
